In 1996, we were able to commission the laboratory as a national facility with the support of NSF’s Instrumentation and Facilities Program. We operate as a Community Facility, available to all NSF-supported researchers and students, as well as scientists from around the world. Now, we have hosted more than 300 NSF-sponsored scientists and students. Our commitment to managing an open, effective, and scientifically innovative facility remains paramount.
